Mentalist / Hypnotist
Perhaps because of his interest in true history or perhaps because of the connection to unusual performance
arts such as escapology, Steve has always had a keen passion for mentalism, (the conjurer’s art of “mind magic”),
and stage hypnosis.
Beginning in the late 1980’s Steve began presenting live stage performances featuring these two unique
performance arts. In a short period Steve rose quickly to become one of Canada’s most skilled and entertaining stage
hypnotists and mentalists.
Before long, Steve was a firm favorite at colleges, universities, live theatre venues, corporate events, armed forces bases,
and night clubs. Typical of any Santini interest or passion, Steve completely immersed himself in the art and earned favorable
nationwide press for a variety of seemingly impossible feats.
He drove cars blindfolded around human pylons without managing to harm either vehicle or person, he “predicted” the
headlines of newspaper publications weeks in advance, and he presented what was widely acclaimed as one of the
cleanest, yet most entertaining, stage hypnosis shows anywhere.
During Santini’s power of suggestion stage spectacular no volunteer was ever harmed, belittled, or made to partake in any
humiliating or disgusting act. Steve always believed, and still does, that it takes far more skill to be creative and careful
with his audience volunteers than it does to be reckless and crude.
The constant result of this discipline was a thoroughly enjoyable performance that succeeded in entertaining
audiences of all ages.
