Consulting Historian

Over the years Steve Santini has worked with many groups, corporations, and individuals as a consulting historian

within his particular areas of expertise.

This assistance rendered has been in many forms including authenticating rare relics and artifacts, reviewing

provenance documentation, assuring historical accuracy and veracity, research, as an on-set and on-camera expert,

and offering pre production advice and expert commentary on television and film productions.

Of particular note is the expert assistance Steve has lent to numerous leading international auction houses including

Christies New York, Henry Aldridge and Sons UK, and R&R Auction in the USA, (among others) . In a number of instances
Steve’s research for such firms has directly increased the hammer prices rare relics have brought at auction.

Steve has also assisted many television and film projects and he was a historical advisor to James Cameron’s

Lightstorm Pictures during pre production work on Cameron’s blockbuster mega hit film, “Titanic.”

In addition to diverse industry professionals and corporations Steve also works with leading international private

collectors concerning the alleged authenticity of historic artifacts and collectables.
